Located at Mile 36, where the Alaska Highway
crosses the mighty Peace River, Taylor is nestled
in a scenic valley. We welcome you to spend a
night in our community and enjoy a wide variety of recreational opportunities and amenities,
all in the comfort of a small town.

If you are looking for a relaxing camping spot, try Peace Island Park on the banks of the Peace River. The sites are private, large and shaded, and the fee is only $7.50 per vehicle per night. The park is open May to September and reservations can be made with the caretakers, (250) 789-9295.
Peace Island Park is also home to the World's Invitational Gold Panning Championships, held the first weekend in August. The event is one the whole family will enjoy. Come and experience "Gold Rush Fever".

For a delicious treat, unique to the region, drop by one of our market gardens during the summer months and sample the specialty, sweet valley corn.
